NEW: PHI BEAT 2 and PHI BEAT 2 Light – B-Certification

THE BEAT GOES ON!

Here the long awaited sucessor of our bestseller:
The BEAT 2 is following the legendary BEAT as the perfect middle of the wing’s bandwidth.
The BEAT strikes the perfect balance of outstanding safety and simplicity on the one hand and performance that will satisfy even an advanced pilot at any time on the other.
The BEAT 2 symbolizes the legendary “Golden Ratio” and represents the meaning of our brand PHI like no other of our wings.

BEAT 2 Technical Features

There are a lot of differences between the BEAT and the BEAT 2.
-just the ground shape / outline is the same.
The “X-ray view” against the light shows the new internal construction: line suspension points moved, diagonal fingers are optimized, there are different straps with markant V shaped anchor connections.
The intake is different, the sail cut, the rods (now as well on bottom sail). The stabilo is completely different.
It is never easy for a designer to make a new generation of a best seller. Too often you want “too much” and destroy the key features that made the original so successful.
We wanted to be sure that the BEAT 2 stays a BEAT, but we wanted to carefully make it even better.
Please give it a try!
You will experience the clearly better, more forgiving take off behaviour.
You may immediately feel the better handling, higher agility, even more “defined” feedback.
The playful ease with which you dance your way to the top of the thermalling pulk is unique!

At the request of many pilots, the BEAT 2 has only robust, sheathed lines on the brakes and stabilo, which stand out clearly from the ground in their orange.
With this decision we follow our conviction that paragliding has to become easier again!

BEAT 2 Designer’s Note

I was flying the BEAT a lot and enjoyed it’s very high comfort level. Not without a reason the BEAT light was our best seller.
It was not easy to find some “weak points” to be improved. Finally we improved take off, reduced the weight, have further improved the reaction to extreme maneuvers and tuned the handling a lot better. Because of the cleaner surface and changed sail tension, the performance improves feelable. So we are very sure that the BEAT 2 will be even more successful than it’s predecessor.

BEAT 2 Weight Ranges

The take off weight on the scale includes pilot + equipment + wing.
For normal thermal flying it is recommended to stay in the normal range.
For high wind conditions, strong thermals to fly XC, the extended range offers more speed, energy and possibilities.

BEAT 2 light risers

The TENOR 2 is delivered with the comfort riser R01.
You are free to customize and choose another riser free of charge.
When you want to go for extra light, you may choose the super light RZ1: this is reducing the weight on the tech date list by 285g!
