Am 6. Mai stellte Gillis Bengtsson mit seinem Ozone ZENO einen neuen schwedischen Distanzrekord auf. Er startete von Ålleberg, einem kleinen Berg (90 m) im schwedischen Flachland. Nach 6 Stunden landete er in der Nähe der Stadt Kalmar.

Gillis ist einer der aktivsten Paragliding-Piloten in Schweden. In seiner frühen Gleitschirmkarriere übte er viel Bodenabfertigung und stieg viel auf kleinen Hängen und sogar Burgen.

Er hat sich in den letzten Jahren auf das Distanzfliegen konzentriert und es ist großartig zu sehen, dass sich all seine früheren Übungen und seine Beständigkeit jetzt auszahlen.

On May 6th, Gillis Bengtsson set a new Swedish distance record on his ZENO. He took off from Ålleberg, a small mountain (90 m) in the Swedish flatlands. He landed, after 6 hours, close to the city of Kalmar.

Gillis is one of the most active paragliding pilots in Sweden. In his early paragliding career he practiced a lot of ground handling and soared a lot on small slopes and even castles.
